Dr. Ruecker is originally from Regina and as a young adult left for the west coast to study and to receive his Bachelor of Kinesiology from the University of British Columbia in Vancouver. He then earned his Doctor of Chiropractic in Toronto at the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College in 2017. After academia, he worked in multidisciplinary clinics in Toronto for a short time before working with the Chinese Olympic Committee to prepare their freestyle ski and snowboard athletes for the 2022 Winter Olympic games in Beijing. Later, Dr. Ruecker joined the sports medicine team of Cirque Du Soleil in Hangzhou, China working with their artistic performers maintain peak athleticism for their outstanding nightly performances in “X: The Land Of Fantasy.”

Upon returning to Canada Dr. Ruecker settled in Saskatoon and started Axis Health Center with the goal of providing transformative chiropractic care and to serve the local communities.

Dr. Ruecker knows that healthy habits are the key to creating lasting health improvements, so he is proactive about keeping and maintaining his health before losing it. Healthy habits include regular physical and cognitive activity, a whole foods balanced diet, and routine chiropractic care as the surest way to keep muscles, joints and nerves healthy.

Jennifer graduated in 2021 from Mckay Career Training and is registered with the Natural Health Practitioners of Canada (NHPC). Jennifer specializes in therapeutic, deep-tissue massage techniques including sport therapy for old and new injuries. She has particular intererst in treating Temporomandibular Joint Dysfunction commonly known as TMJ, which is commonly related to headaches, neck pain, and jaw pain. She is highly skilled in many techniques including deep-friction technique which is a form of cross-fibre or transverse fibre technique, that applies force perpendicular to the muscle fibres rather than parallel pressure application. The massage is deep, as the name implies, and applied transversely to the specific tissue involved unlike the superficial massage given in the longitudinal direction parallel to the vessels which enhances circulation of blood and lymph.

Jennifer is also certified in cupping therapy which uses a vacuum technique applied to the tissue. This causes the tissue beneath the cup to be drawn up and swell causing increase in blood flow to affected area. Enhanced blood flow under the cups draws impurities and toxins away from the nearby tissues and organs towards the surface for the body to eliminate them from the system.

Serena Patel is a dedicated massage therapist who obtained certification from Axiom Career College in 2022 and is registered with the Natural Health Practitioners of Canada (NHPC). Her focus is Hot Stone Therapy and Cupping Therapy. Her specialty is in therapeutic massage techniques such as Swedish, relaxation, lymphatic drainage, cupping therapy and deep tissue massage. Dr. Seo studied Traditional Chinese Medicine for five years in China and has worked at a university-affiliated hospital and a private clinic. De. Seo is registered with the CMAAC and offers a variety of treatments using Traditional Chinese Medicine.

Dr. Seo treats conditions such as headaches, cervical strain, rhinitis, digestive issues, constipation, and diarrhea, as well as mood disorders like depression affecting the autonomic nervous system. He also addresses acute pain conditions related to muscles and joints, as well as chronic pain.

Dr. Seo was also a professional musician as a drummer. He loves music and nature, and he greatly enjoys the skies of Saskatoon. He is also fluent in English, Korean and Mandarin.

Registered Physical Therapist

Zeyad El Karsh graduated from the University of Saskatchewan’s Physiotherapy program in 2023 and focuses on movement based therapies. With experience in weightlifting and coaching his approach to healthcare is movement as medicine through rehabilitation, modalities including interferential current, TENS, Microcurrent and others to assist in reducing pain and improving recovery. Zeyad is fluent in English and Arabic.
